Voting is underway in the Ivory Coast as President Alassane Ouattara seeks a third contested term in an election that two of the four candidates have urged their supporters to boycott.
Leader of Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu has warned that allowing local companies to print the 2021 election ballots will breed chaos in the country, saying they are highly vulnerable to manipulation, especially by the ruling National Resistance Movement party.
A total of 444 candidates from 40 political parties will contest the by-elections in 95 wards on November 11, said the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) on Tuesday when giving an update about the local government by-elections.
