The Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union (UNMU) has called off their planned strike after government last Friday promised to give them Shs70 billion for lunch allowance.
The Nigerian Medical Association, Cross River chapter, on Wednesday, embarked on an indefinite strike over the kidnapping of its members, Dr Godwin Udo of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital.
