Zimbabwe’s ruling ZANU-PF party on Monday called the United States ambassador a “thug” and accused him of funding the opposition ahead of this week’s planned anti-government protests that authorities say are meant to overthrow the government.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man, Amosu Funso, over the death of his girlfriend, Precious Udochi, in Ogombo, Ajah area of the state.

Officially, he stepped down in January 2019, retiring after 18 years at the helm of the biggest country in sub-Saharan Africa.
