Ghanaian billionaire Cheddar brings Mayweather to Ghana in April

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

An agreement has been reached between businessman Nana Kwame Bediako popularly known as Cheddar and retired American boxer Floyd Mayweather for the latter to visit Ghana, ghanaweb.com can reveal.

A source close to the ‘billionaire’ has told GhanaWeb that the former world welterweight champion will be in Ghana next month.

According to our source, Mayweather will be in the country to grace the grand opening of the No.1 Oxford building which is one of many properties owned by the Ghanaian business mogul.

The official commissioning of the magnificent high-rise edifice which is located in the heart of Ghana’s capital will be held in April and it is expected to have Mayweather and other high profile persons in attendance.

The source adds that several activities including a boxing event have been lined up for his visit.

2017 fiasco

Two years ago, Mayweather sent Ghanaians into frenzy mood after confirming his tour of the country. The Money Man as he is known, announced in a short video on his social media handles that he was visiting Nigeria and Ghana in June that year. It, however, turned out to be a fiasco.

Mayweather brought his more than two decades boxing career in 2015 with an undefeated record of 49 wins.

Aside from his craft, he also is known for his luxurious and ostentatious lifestyle.
