The Central African Republic has launched an investigation into former President Francois Bozize, whom the government accuses of plotting a coup before last month’s elections.
More than 14 percent of polling stations in the Central African Republic (CAR) failed to operate during Sunday’s presidential and legislative election due to armed rebels who attacked voters and barred electoral staff, the electoral commission said.
Voting began on Sunday in the Central African Republic's presidential and legislative elections after a campaign period marked by violence between rebels and government forces.
